TPJCG Karaoke Session
How to use the Karalist
- Allow the app to load the Karalist. (Please note that the list is sorted!)
- Press the 'refresh' button anytime to pull the latest info from the Karalist
- 'Add Song' button opens a google form to add your desired song into the Karalist. It requires your email to identify how many songs you've added.
- (Optional) Add your email on the textfield above the app to help pre-fill your email on the google forms.
- (Optional) Lock your username to prevent accidents and also highlight your username in the karalist.
- (Mobile only) Save the app to your homescreen!
- For iOS, tap the share button and select 'Add to homescreen'.
- For android, open the 3 dot menu and select 'Add to homescreen'
Rules & Regulations
Following are the rules and regulations of TPJCG Karaoke session that are to be followed strictly by everyone who attends the session. Those who do not follow them will face dire consequences.
First time offenders who broke the rules will be noted down and warned. Second time offenders will be blacklisted and BANNED from attending karaoke sessions forever. (This means throughout your school years in Temasek Polytechnic and even after you have graduated).

- RESPECT the hosts. Do not disrespect the hosts and follow the rules.
- NO card games allowed in the venue or near the venue (Poker cards, Pokémon cards, Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, UNO cards, basically all card games known and unknown to mankind).
- NO using of laptops or playing video games on laptops during the session is allowed.
- ONLY Arts and Entertainment Sub-Committee members and AE alumni are allowed to touch and adjust the mixer. This also means that only AE members can stay behind the Kara table. The hosts can however, choose to let some people to stay around there. If something is damaged at the table, the hosts will be responsible for it.
- According to the school rules, food and drinks are NOT allowed in the classroom. However, if members clean up after themselves (meaning NOT a single speck of food or litter in the classroom), small snacks (such as candy) and non-carbonated bottled drinks are allowed inside. However, if the person leaves a mess, he/she will be BANNED from consuming anything with the exception of plain water in the classroom. If caught consuming any food or beverages after the ban, that person will be blacklisted and BANNED from attending karaoke sessions forever.
- NO chanting is allowed when someone is singing unless the person singing allows and encourages it.
- ONLY Japanese songs or songs by Japanese artist. Other songs will be judged on a case-by-case basis by the karaoke head.
- Strictly NO shouting INTO the mic.
- Keep your volume low at all time when someone is singing unless you are also singing with them at the front.
- DO NOT hog onto the mic for multiple songs, pass it to the person/people who requested for the song.
- The hosts have the authority to kick anyone out of the karaoke session, regardless of their status or role in TPJCG and even those who are not in JCG. However, there must be a valid reason for kicking them out.
- If you feel that you should not be kicked out, talk to the head of Arts & Entertainment sub-committee. The head will listen to both sides of the story before making any decisions.
- If any of the hosts need a helper, clarify with the Arts & Entertainment head, preferably for the person to be from the same sub-committee.
- Please add yourself to the “TPJCG Karaoke Session Singers YEAH~!” Facebook group for future updates and follow the rules. There will be no exceptions for those who are not inside the group as anyone who come to the session should be fully aware of the rules and regulations established.
- Please get permission from the karaoke head before editing or changing the karaoke rules.
- More rules may be imposed in the future.
